Scope of leadership role
Position Summary: Manages the production department of a plant (generally defined by a plant headcount of less than 400 employees and/or plant revenue of less than $70M) across shifts, ensuring the manufacturing of products in planned quantities, at budgeted cost, safety and of desired quality. Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. May be responsible for 2-3 smaller sites or manage one large site. Manages the production department across shifts, ensuring the manufacturing of products in planned quantities, at budgeted cost, and of desired quality. Ensures all safety procedures are followed and metrics met. Manages the most difficult problems involving the manufacturing process. Liaisons with functional or operational area managers (e.g. in supply and logistics, or sales) to understand current and future product needs and develops plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities. Provides supervision and guidance to Production Superintendents and/or Supervisors. Leads activities and projects to support continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.

Seek cost reduction by eliminating non-productive operations.- Seek continuous improvement of product flow through RBS tools.
- Take control of the main metrics of the area (SQDCP) and focusing the team on solving problems.
- Channel the training requirements necessary for the process.
- Ensure that safety measures are followed for both staff and equipment.
- Show a fair, equitable leadership, promoting at all times the administration of open doors and aligned with the values and philosophy of the company.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to do tactical reporting, data mining.
- MS Office suite Power User (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Digital media management.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Customer Service Orientation ( internal & external ).
- Problem solving & decision making.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience. 7+ years (Mat'ls, Mfg, Eng, Quality, Production).
- Lean Six Sigma acknowledge.
- Black Belt in Lean Sigma preferred.
